I'm interested in getting interested people into this site. Of late, it has slipped, mainly because the armatures have left with their tails between their legs. It is still one of the most hit upon sites on the net, with regard to this subject. It takes a little effort to join, but maybe it is worth it.

There is too many Middle East related sites on Tribe. I'm a member of like 5-6 of them and really only Middle East Politics has any traffic.

Well, this site used to have a bunch, but Carolyn and all the hardcore Hamas supporters move there. It used to belong to J-Red. He hasn't been tribing much lately, and Carolyn took it over. Some of the hardcore Israel supporters followed, and this one faded. The difference is that this one was always somewhat well moderated, so guys like Dimi3 and Tuk Tuk weren't allowed to run amok.

You should check out the site I posted. Even if you don't post there, it is one of the best resources for material on the subject, with good links, and well informed posters. Those that are there to simply troll and spout hatred are so effectively countered that they go away.

        OK I'll check out.

Even the 'Middle East Politics' tribe is getting real stale real fast. It seems it is made up of just ardent Zionists and fervent Palestinian sympathizers and every single thread, no matter what the topic or country, returns to the same tired debate.

Yes. Even this tribe could be okay, if only people would stop taking arguments against their positions personally. Of course, considering the biases, that isn't likely. Hence, good moderatorship. If a moderator would simply abstain from debate, and delete ad hominems without question, and then refuse to justify their actions, it would probably turn into a pretty civil tribe in a short time. I don't know. Could you do that? Even though I've taken numerous courses in logic and critical thinking, I'm not sure if I could.

How about you Adam? Maybe the moderator of this sort of tribe should never comment?
